SCC Advertising Program Headline (6 marks) 

Create one headline for an article about the SCC Advertising Program, targeted to local graduating high school students. 

You must provide: 

a) The headline 

“I didn’t know I could be making 6 figures after just ONE college program; says former SCC advertising student ”

b) An explanation of the information missing from the instructions 

First and foremost the main information that is missing from the question is what is the objective? In other words, what does this headline we are asking to write want to achieve? Do we want students to join the program? Do we want potential students looking at St Clair in general? This is important step that needs to be more clear in order to write a strong headline. 

c) A detailed justification for your headline choice based on course concepts 

I wanted to use a headline that looked more like a testimonial. Something that backs up a claim with legitimacy. Thats why my headline seems like a quote. I want students who see this post to put themselves in the shoes of the person the headline is referencing. This headline says exactly the program that could lead to potentially high paying jobs. This speaks to the audience and creates a sense of urgency. Because people might want to sign up before its full.
