a. Describe one specific technique you used to improve readability in your revised version and explain why it is effective. (4 Marks) 

With my updated intro page, I applied a couple of techniques to improve readability to better suit plain language writing. For this question, however, I will focus on explaining one technique. The technique that I used was writing for action. This was one technique that I was lacking in my first intro. The reason this technique improves readability is because it gives purpose to the content that is being read. It answers a question for “What my company is and what services I provide” I was no longer writing for the “general population” I was now writing for a Specific audience. I wanted to write in a way that would move them emotionally. I used logic by explaining the importance of photography and making a legacy. This helped reinforce the writing for action.
